My health has finally been restored to a point where I can design again. So much has changed. The technologies, the people, the places, the communities...everything. It's good to be back though. However, it seems like I was not the only one who vanished. Pretty interesting to see how things change over time.
Freelancing used to be the way to go...but it seems as if the game has changed. Top agencies seem to have acquired all of the huge corporate accounts. Freelancers seem to be surviving off template markets. Eh, I really would like to work on big projects again with other creatives, but getting into a new agency (a good one) may be a task...as I will need to brush up on my formalities and my code fluency.
Not too excited about the template market, even though there is money to be made. Guess i'll have to do whatever it takes to get back in the game. Time to brush up on everything, time to kick it up a notch..., so much to catch up on...so little time. Looks like it's going to be a long, fun ride.
Feels great to be back
mood: feeling pretty old-school and outdated.
